Help  our  upcoming  battle  for  righteousness

4/23/2015

IM-PACT is gearing up for 2  special prayer sessions early next week. We're battling for righteousness to prevail over the redefinition of marriage in our nation.

I'm asking for your help to set the direction of our prayers. Please share one or two prayer points in the comment section below.

This Tuesday April 28, 2015, the Supreme Court will hear arguments on whether the Constitution allows homosexual couples the right to marry regardless of what individual states decide.

Your comments will help our prayer community hit the mark.

Thank you for your help,

Pastor Mike Byrum
Director/IM-PACT

Our prayer session will be at the IM-PACT Prayer Center this Sunday evening, April 26 from 4-5pm, and Tuesday Afternoon, April 28 from 11:30am - 1:30pm. (2118 Ann Arbor-Saline Rd. Ann Arbor, MI 48103).

Repentance that we as God's people have not been the witness of God's ways in marriage and family life and have not taught it from God's Word.
That the Lord would bring His people back to the honor and respect between men and women and marriage and family life and teach us His Ways.

Without holiness no one will see God. I am praying that the people of God will understand God says He is coming to a Holy people without spot or wrinkle, prepared to be the Bride of Christ. As I read the word I am struck by the comands for us to be Holy. Religion teach glorification comes after death but from the word sounds like there are people that are chosen to be holy. The word in us or Jesus will fill all believers, but those that go beyond the altar through the curtain will see God. Their witness will bring hope and comfort to the church. Many people made Holy will have a testimony of the trial they have gone through and how God saved them. they overcame through their testimony and power of blood. Glorification brings us into a holy state we are protected from the evil one. Religion puts a cap on how high we can go in God, my time with God tells me different. Those who are suffering will sing the new song of redemption, the joy of the Lord will be their strength. Lord send us your Holy Spirit to impart to us how to seek that glorification state and to help us stay strong in the process.Amen

1. Pray that our Supreme Court would receive God's wisdom upon their minds. That they would understand that the redefining of marriage and imposing the homosexual agenda would both be unconstitutional as a republic and most importantly tear apart the foundation of a healthy society.
2. Pray that the Body of Christ embraces the Scriptures as the rock solid foundation and Standard for marriage, family and sexuality. That the church would return to the fear of God's and His Word, and repent of compromise.
3. For the Body of Christ to be salt and light in these issues.

Righteousness exalts a nation, but sin condemns any people. Proverbs 14:34

Pray:
The Supreme Court chambers will be flooded with the Glory of God.

For we are not fighting against flesh-and-blood enemies, but against evil rulers and authorities of the unseen world, against mighty powers in this dark world, and against evil spirits in the heavenly places. Ephesians 6:12

The Lord rebuke the spirits of sodomy and deception.

Release the armies of heaven against the corrupt spirits reigning over Washington DC

Set the left leaning members of the court free from the lies that cloud their minds.

Pray for a spirit of confusion to confuse the lawyers arguing the case for homosexual marriage.

For anointing to rest upon the lawyers arguing for traditional marriage and the Holy Spirit to bring conviction to the members of the court.

Pray for the individual justices by name
Chief Justice
John Roberts
Associate Justices
Samuel Alito
Stephen Breyer
Ruth Bader Ginsburg
Elena Kagan
Anthony Kennedy
Antonin Scalia
Sonia Sotomayor
Clarence Thomas

No weapon formed against you will succeed, and you will refute any accusation raised against you in court. Isaiah 54:17

Song: The Battle Belongs To The Lord

19 So shall they fear
The name of the Lord from the west,
And His glory from the rising of the sun;
When the enemy comes in like a flood,
The Spirit of the Lord will lift up a standard against him. Isaiah 59:19 (NKJV)

Agree with Bob. Also God strike the pen with lightning of the hand of any person who would dare try and change the Constitution

Yes, how dare they try and change the Constitution! It is a sacred document, meant to stay static forever. Changing it should be illegal! They should have never allowed it to be changed with the 19th Amendment, which gave women the right to vote. The fact that we've had 27 changes so far, even as recent as the 27th in 1992, is a sure sign of the collapse of American society...

Scriptures that I read at the prayer time that seemed anointed and to the point:

This extended passage came to me when I read the verse you quoted in your email.
Psalm 119:121–128
I have done justice and righteousness;
Do not leave me to my oppressors.
Be surety for Your servant for good;
Do not let the arrogant oppress me.
My eyes fail with longing for Your salvation
And for Your righteous word.
Deal with Your servant according to Your lovingkindness
And teach me Your statutes.
I am Your servant; give me understanding,
That I may know Your testimonies.
It is time for the LORD to act,
For they have broken Your law.
Therefore I love Your commandments
Above gold, yes, above fine gold.
Therefore I esteem right all Your precepts concerning everything,
I hate every false way.

Then this next section seemed right as well.
Psalm 119:113–118
I hate those who are double-minded,
But I love Your law.
You are my hiding place and my shield;
I wait for Your word.
Depart from me, evildoers,
That I may observe the commandments of my God.
Sustain me according to Your word, that I may live;
And do not let me be ashamed of my hope.
Uphold me that I may be safe,
That I may have regard for Your statutes continually.
You have rejected all those who wander from Your statutes,
For their deceitfulness is useless.
